Remote Training - Made Personal
Approach now offers complete, individualized coaching, programming, and mentorship for remote players who want to train with us but can’t come in-person. Work 1-1 and develop a relationship with Owner/Head Instructor Coach Cooper in pursuit of optimal mental and skill development. Our remote training service will go beyond simple programming, looking to build each athlete’s understanding of their own mechanics, strengths, weaknesses, and thought processes, and provide professional mentorship and guidance to each athlete. Let us help you build a complete approach to your training, playing, and mindset.
Assessment
Our process starts with an assessment of each athlete. Athletes will submit video comprising of mobility testing, pitch, swing, fielding for analysis, as well as answer a questionnaire to better understand their strengths and weaknesses, and also training and lifestyle habits. The assessment will also consists of a 1-1 video call to discuss the player’s goals and areas of desired improvement, and to review/start building understanding of the athletes particular physical and mental tendencies. From this information, we will discuss and create a plan to optimize each athletes training and performance.
Programming
We have partnered with The Futures App to provide the absolute best platform for remote training. Communication, video uploads/analysis, data tracking, strength and conditioning programming, throwing, hitting, and fielding drill programming, and access to hundreds of drill videos consisting of a library of Approach drills, as well as 15 Major League player’s favorite drill sets. Drills will be prescribed with instructional video, specific directions for the athlete, and reps/workload.
Players can upload video into the app for video voiceover critique and analysis. Programming will be continuously modified as athletes make movement corrections.
Mentorship
Motivation, direction, mindset, emotional control and support, in game and training approach, strategy, dealing with failure and success, and all of the other mental requirements of being successful in this game (and life) are all part of our training process with our athletes. This side of personal development is arguably as much as, if not more, important than the physical in maintaining success. This is an integral part of our training and what has separated us from the competition. Remote training from Approach will be more than just a drill set. It will involve the total mental and physical approach.
